MOUNTAIN INN & SPA
Welcome to Transhumance & Cie, a mountain inn and spa in the Aspe Valley. An unusual place located in the former Pau-Canfranc Trans-Pyrenean railway station , in the heart of the Béarn Pyrenees!
Our 8 bedrooms and dormitory accommodate 15 beds and 2 independent studios offer 7 additional beds.
Apartment, room, suite, bed in a dormitory with breakfast or self-catering – we're sure to have something to satisfy your Pyrenees craving! And our small spa will delight those who love to relax in an intimate setting with mountain views!
A communal kitchen is available on the 1st floor (self-service and cleaning to be done by each person after their meal).

Room 3: Double or twin room Bugada
Room No. 3 is located on the 1st floor of the house: it arrives after 6:30 pm or before 4:30 pm (the "Early Arrival" option has been purchased) and is immediately accessible from your table!
Your room consists of a 160cm bed (possibility of adding 2 twin beds with an extra charge of €2, possibility of adding a single bed), a bathroom with walk-in shower, a changing room with shower and separate toilet, a desk area, a chest of drawers and a wardrobe.
You will not have to wait until the baby is born to get more information.
Room 4: Double or twin room Passejada
Room number 4 is located on the 1st floor on the left: for an arrival after 6:30 pm or before 4:30 pm (the "Early Arrival" option has been purchased) it is immediately direct from your table!
Your room consists of a 160cm long bed (possibility of preparing it with 2 twin beds for an extra €2, possibility of adding a basket), a bathroom with shower and view of Mondays, a sink and toilet, an armchair, a small wardrobe and a desk mural!
You will not have to wait until the baby is born to get more information.
Chambre 5 : chambre double ou twin Plumalhon
Room 5 Plumalhon is located on the 1st floor on the left. It consists of a 160cm bed which we can prepare as 2 single beds (please add the "twin beds" option when booking), a minimalist shower room and a separate toilet.
Please note that no extra beds or baby cots can be added.
Room 8: Double or twin room (accessible for people with reduced mobility) Camin
Room No. 8 CAMIN is located on the ground floor, opposite the entrance door: for arrivals after 6:30 pm or before 4:30 pm (if the "Early Arrival" option has been purchased) take your key directly from the board!
Your room includes a 160cm bed (we can prepare two twin beds for an additional €2, an option to add to your basket), a bathroom with a walk-in shower, toilet, and accessible sink, a wall-mounted desk, a wardrobe, and an armchair. You also have a private terrace!
Please note that no extra beds or baby beds can be added.
Room 9: Double or twin room Solèr
Room #9 is located on the 1st floor or the third floor: for arrivals after 6:30 pm or before 4:30 pm (the "Early Arrival" option has been purchased), you can access it directly from your table!
Your room consists of a 160cm single bed (two twin beds can be added for an extra €2, a basket can also be added), a bathroom with bathtub, sink and separate WC, a chest of drawers, an armchair and a desk area. The room is air-conditioned.
You will not have to wait until the baby is born to get more information.
Room 7: Pastoreta Triple Family Suite
Our Pastoreta family room consists of two bedrooms (one with a queen-size bed, the other with a single bed on a mezzanine) and a private bathroom between the two sleeping areas. It is ideal for a couple with one child (a child under 7 or no other children plus children) or three family members or friends. It is also perfectly suited for two colleagues, each with their own sleeping area. The room is air-conditioned.
The cleaning is done daily.
Furthermore, they can be installed when the baby is ready.
FRET 1 APART HOTEL
The FRET 1 Apart Hotel is located on the second floor of the train station, near the parking lot: for arrivals after 6:30 pm or before 4:30 pm (with the "Early Arrival" option purchased), you can arrive directly from your table! During the periods when the hostel is closed, you will have self-check-in.
You can enjoy complete autonomy or take advantage of the hostel's services (breakfasts, spa, concierge, restaurant, rechargeable electricity).
This small duplex with independent entrance and private terrace can accommodate 1 to 4 people (+ baby possible).
The 18m2 room consists of a kitchenette, a coin slot, a toilet and a coin slot/sleep with a super-positionable and granular pot.
On the floor, there is a 12m2 room with double lighting, a coin purse, a shower and a sink.
A terrace on the other side is permeable to the outdoor feeder.
Please note that this accommodation is not suitable for people with reduced mobility and not ideal for small children (spiral stairs, high table, wood stove...)
Household:
Beds are not made upon arrival, bed linen and towels are provided.
Before your departure, please:
-Place the white bed linen, bath towels and dish towels in the orange bag.
-Sort and throw the rubbish into the containers at the back of the parking lot.
- Wash and put away the dishes, clean the kitchen area (cooktop, sink, worktop, fridge and oven), clean the table.
- Sweep the floor.
Welcome booklet in the accommodation.
Reception and check-in from 5pm to 6:30pm and partly during breakfast service from 7:30am to 10am.
APPART HOTEL FRET 2
The FRET 2 Aparthotel is located at the bottom of the building, accessible by ferry (up the ramp through the gardens and around the building): for arrivals after 6:30 pm or before 4:30 pm (with the "Early Arrival" option). Pick up your key directly from the board! During the hostel's closure periods, you will have self check-in.
You can enjoy complete autonomy or take advantage of the hostel's services (breakfasts, spa, concierge, restaurant, rechargeable electricity).
This small duplex accommodation with independent entrance and private terrace can accommodate 1 to 3 people (+baby cot possible).
The 18m2 downstairs room consists of a kitchenette, a dining area, a toilet and a rest/sleeping area with a convertible 1-seater armchair, a bench and the pellet stove.
Upstairs, the 12m2 bedroom area has a double bed, a reading nook, a shower and a sink.
A west-facing terrace allows you to eat outside.

Bed in a 2-person dormitory
The room is located in room number 8, across the road. There is no key to the dormitory, but you have a lockable locker next to your room. It is available from October to May, after weekends and school holidays.
In the room, there are two simple rooms with occult attractions, a bathroom, a television, a desk decorated with a fresco, and a coin. You have a comfortable armchair on the side of the room, in the living room, or you can pour out the attraction or move it without damaging your room's camera!
A communal kitchen area is located on the first floor.
Please respect the other occupant's deposit and follow the instructions posted in the room (remove the sheets and sort your waste before leaving).

Discover some local and homemade delicacies and treat yourself to our all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast on the veranda, facing the mountains from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on weekdays and from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Our "Shagat" relaxation area welcomes you every day from 5pm to 7pm (two 1-hour slots) with:
- A sauna in the middle of the forest, spread across 4 locations: you can enjoy a book and a relaxing moment by the pool.
- an outdoor 4-person jacuzzi: please adjust the settings!! Water at 37° when it is cool and at 33-34° in the summer.
- A traditional 3-person hammam: please do not touch the settings!! Hammam regulated at 45°C with 100% humidity
- 1 bed of hay
- A tea room is available for your use
Please take a shower before entering the jacuzzi, remove your jewelry and tie back your hair. Young people (aged 16 and over) cannot access the relaxation area without a group time slot.

For a special occasion or a great comfort after a day on the road or on Monday, Venice will benefit from the relaxation area of the Transhumance for a moment that you can spend, as a couple, with family or with friends!
This price applies to an occupancy of 1 to 4 people.An option is available for a 5th person and an 8th person for an additional €12.
You have access to the facilities (outdoor jacuzzi, traditional hammam, wood-fired sauna) and the spacious lounge, which you can enjoy while admiring the idyllic mountain view.
The private SPA slot is accessible to minors under 16 years of agebut under the responsibility of the parents (wood stove, jacuzzi bus, mandatory shower).
To make this moment even more comfortable or exceptional, you can add the option of a bathrobe or a bottle of champagne!
ADDITIONAL PERSON PRIVATE SPA
(Option reserved for guests of the Hôtel Transhumance & cie and accessible only by reservation, from 16 years old)
Nestled in the FRET building of the station, our relaxation area "SHAGAT" ("downpour" in Béarnais) opens its doors to you every day from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. (with 2 slots of 1h30) . Equipped with a wood-fired sauna, an outdoor jacuzzi and a hammam , this space offers you an authentic place of relaxation! You can taste local herbal teas while leafing through mountain books by the fire or in a deckchair!
We ask you to take a shower before entering the jacuzzi , to remove your jewelry and to tie your hair. Children (up to 16 years old) do not have access to the relaxation area.
A duration of 20 minutes for each wellness equipment is ideal for your relaxation and to allow everyone to enjoy it! We limit simultaneous access to 6 people so that you can really enjoy a special moment and we hope that this moment of relaxation will do you the greatest good!
For a group of more than 6 guests of the Auberge wishing to privatize a slot, the rate is 10€/person from 7 to 10 people (reservation at reception or by email).
To privatize a slot for less than 6 people, it is necessary to book for 6 people (i.e. €72) or to book the "Private SPA and champagne" option for 2 at €70 from 8:15 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.
Relaxation with donkey milk and hay
(This service is available to guests of the Inn or to people outside the establishment.)
Choosing the Aspe Valley for your stay means starting from the Pyrenees, a land of nature and pastoral discovery... the Pyrenees that bring us to life during the Transhumance!
So, to complete your Pyrenees dream, treat yourself to a simple and unique experience: our Lescun donkey milk bath and a nap in the hay!
The program includes 1 hour and 15 minutes of relaxation with:
- A bath prepared with 600ml of organic donkey milk from the SAUMA Donkey Farm in Lescunand our spring water
- a delicious treat from "Verdurette & cie"in Lurbe
- a little nap in the warmth of the hay.
Enveloped in natural and comforting scents, you don't have to worry about the time passing!
You can schedule a session and test the SAUMA product range: solid shampoo, face cream, shower gel, also sold in our shop.
Relaxation, a change of scenery and well-being guaranteed!
Bain de lait offers sessions on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10:30 to 11:45 and from 15:30 to 16:45.

To end your day at the hotel spa, you can rent a bathrobe and flip-flops if you don't have any in your suitcase!

PICNIC
For your hike or day of walking, we will prepare a picnic for you (reservation at the reception the day before at the latest):
Cold cuts/cheese or raw vegetables/cheese sandwich + crisps, fruit or compote, and cake/gingerbread or homemade biscuits
We do not provide plastic water bottles or gourds!
For groups staying for several days with full board and provided with boxes and cutlery, we will prepare a variety of roasts, salads, homemade quiches, etc.
ROOM SERVICE
Our restaurant is closed? A late arrival? Want to eat something quickly in your room or in the lounge?
We will prepare a room service basket for you and leave it in your room or in the living room. You will need to heat the jar in the microwave in the living room.
We have chosen the French company "Vrai et Bon" for jars of meals to reheat and complete our room service offer with desserts (cheese plate, chocolate fondant, fresh fruit salad, sheep's milk ice cream, milhassou, etc.)
